Fallen Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Fallen

It faced the raging fury of the storm
But the old acacia tree gave way
Fallen was its tall and noble form
Fulfilling its mark until its final day.

The aged roots no longer strong to hold
Its weight that lay married to the ground
In meekness bowed its leafy head that told
Time was set to die... as rains abound.

A mournful dirge was sang by winds that blew
As branches bent surrendered in repose
The tree there lay and even birds, they knew
It lived good years and it had done its purpose.

I LIKE YOUR Poem ma'am I vividly remember every old, sturdy acacia tree we see in the province Sad though that finally it had fallen, true too, it served its purpose well Old trees give away many stories They bear witness too to every significant event, Your poem made me want to go home. Gaya ng lagi naming sinasabi ng asawa ko, MAY KARAKTER ang mga punong ganun.
