Fall Is In The Air Poem by Rob Hyden

Fall Is In The Air

Summer is over and leaves are starting to turn.
Soon to be raked into piles and carefully burned.
Days are getting shorter and there’s a chill in the air
As pumpkins are picked and they’re sold at the fair.
Fireplaces crackle and pop and dance through the night.
As bears are preparing for winter and geese are in flight.
Sounds of the forest echoes with the wind in the trees.
The changing of seasons and an autumn night breeze.
Smell bonfires burning as smoke fills the night sky.
Counting the autumn days left before it passes us by.
Rob Hyden *in plain sight*
