Faithless Dying Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Faithless Dying

The race is on, fighting's fierce
Who will life's crown receive
Who'll walk, run, breakdown in tears
Failing Christ to believe

Without faith, works, crumble fall, dead
Down, entirely gone
Unable to raise up ones head
Without Jesus God's Son

Faith's a power non can obtain
No gold nor silver can buy
Disallowing Jesus to reign
All one can do is die

Yet death, but lingers a second
Where time ceases to be
Where deep in hell, fools are beckoned
To burn eternally

Yet while still time, with us remains
Let knowledge make you wise
Repent of sin, all shameful stains
Be truthful in God's eyes

Seek humility, at Jesus feet
Pray faith, truth, trust and love
Power, the devil to defeat
Grace, to live high above

None from Jesus, can ask too much
Love, true Grace is His name
Praying your heart, your soul, to touch
You'll never be the same

Heed well what now salvation's said
Heed also Heaven's will
Through faith raise others from the dead
God's calling to fulfil.....
