Faithful To Myself (Yourself) Poem by Kemi Kemms

Faithful To Myself (Yourself)

Rating: 4.0

I’d be an actress if you gave me a talent to play
I’d be a dancer if you put me in the right shoes
I’d be an exhibition if you painted on me
I’d be anything you wanted me to be

I’d be a teacher if you inserted me authority
I’d be a nuclear fighter if you feed me with psychology
I’d be a singer if you encouraged my vocal ability
I’d be anything you wanted me to be

I’d change myself for you
I’d be the biggest fool
To let you walk all over me
Before saying goodbye
And be faithful to myself

I’d be an avengeress if you molested me repeatedly
I’d be a sexoholic if you keep on turning me on
I’d be an interpreter if you gifted me empathy
I’d be anything you wanted me to be

I’d be a spineless doll if you wanted to play
I’d be a framed picture of beauty along your way
I’d be losing weight if you asked that from me
I’d be anything you wanted me to be

I’d change myself for you
I’d be the biggest fool
To let you walk all over me
Before saying goodbye
And be faithful to myself

I’d be a pilot if you gave me highest allowance
I’d be a diver if you gave me enough oxygen
I’d be a hooker if you brainwashed me
I’d be anything you wanted me to be

Anything at all …
Just name it and you I’d be
