Faithful as of old

In search of gold

Looking for men like of old

With great courage

Whose exploits are to encourage

And give hope to the needy

And be a hand to hold to the dying

As I gaze at the wasteland

Wondering who will put the people ahead

Just like the patriots of old

Who fought with all they have to uphold

And led nation to a great pride to behold

And now their stories need to be retold

Get up, oh you men of little boldness

Borrow all the strength and cure the madness

Be the great wind of change you seek

By beckoning even to the meek

To seek to explore and rewrite history

So that the future will also retell your story

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
