Once upon a time
And happily ever after
A fairytale world
with love, peace and laughter
 
A real sleeping beauty
skin white as a dove
is saved by prince charming
her one true love
 
She is woke from a spell
by loves one true kiss
How great life would be
if life was like this
 
True life is a tale
of sadness at times
where darkness creeps in
so the sun doesn't shine
 
Sometimes the prince
And the princess don't meet
And the witches and wolves
Just cannot be beat
 
Of course, these villians
don't really exist
but they represent upsets
Opportunities missed
 
They represent hurt
the pain we may feel
And the upsets we face
Can make these 'villians' seem real
 
In real life, our hero's
are our loved ones and friends
They're here through the bad times
And they stay till' the end
 
Life may not be perfect
Life may not be sweet
but our 'happy ending' comes
with the people we meet
