Fair Haven's Rest Poem by Mark Walters

Fair Haven's Rest

To steer the compass course of life
Set the rigging of your heart
Against the winds of care and strife
That strain to tear our lives apart

Plot your course with chart in hand
The Word of God which never fails
To bring you home to Beulah land
Despite the tempters stormy gales

So loose earths mooring, cast away
In unknown waters you must ply
Raise your sails, sins anchors weigh
Venture far from havens nigh

Faith's winds can set your spirit free
To fill your life, so heed the call
At last you'll rest on heaven's lea
Success is theirs who give Him all
