Failure Poem by Valsa George

Failure

Rating: 5.0

As we roamed under the star spangled sky,
Sharing many a trivial thought
I failed to voice my clandestine whim
Carefully structured within my mind's alcove

When words got suddenly broken up
With a lump forming in my throat
I failed to convey what I meant
In a language explicit for you to grasp

Gazing at each other, as we stood
Without uttering a word aloud
You failed to notice my saddened eyes
Glistening with tears, about to shed

At the end of a pleasant united jaunt
As our roads diverged in opposite tracks
We failed to say even a parting word
As a gesture of courtesy, due for both

Now in the twilight of the setting sun
When the past has dwindled slowly away
We remain in our own cloistered cells
Failing to forget what has transpired.

A lost opportunity never to be recaptured - beautifully expressed and very poignant.

But there are lessons to be learned from your experience we think... On one side you appear to have lost your chance to speak out yourself. But on the other side I feel it is tragic that the other person happens to be indifferent to notice 'your saddened eyes'. Life has such phases of hit or miss experiences and as a compensation perhaps a day will come when someone never fails even to read out your inner woes even when they are not outwardly expressed.

the smooth flow of words flowing with intense emotion of love and longing and a tinge of sadness with unseen tears is beautiful....

Valsa, what an awesome poem! lot of thing we shall meet our own tears, we fall into the deepest hole of uncertainty..like there is no hope to survive but you know Valsa, we may see soon something we not expect what we will have....and it only belong to us who struggle to win...otherwise if we surrender we will win a suffering not positive thinking_Soul
