Facing Reality Poem by Sandra Feldman

Facing Reality

Reality kicks you in the face,
All the 'wonderful' things about this World,
Jump at you and bite,
In trembling and disbelieving fright,
And make you eat crow,
Emotionally, hard to swallow
Even if you don't have an appetite,
Reality must be faced,
But, Oh what a terrible waste!

Why my dear? Why stay on that channel? Just stay in your flannel and drink more beer!

Reality kicks you in face. We must face reality even then. Nicely said.
