Face First Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

Face First

What was your name again.
Memories blurred.
Emotions stirred.
With the last voice heard.
Tell me, am I going out of my mind.
With words for the truly blind.
An arrow to bind.
How did we even survive.
Coming out with skinned knees but still alive.
Let me ask you, was that the biggest surprise.
A heart that can compremise, read between the lines and take all the lies.
Finally the moment comes when with our eyes closed the world comes undone.
A nakedness that hasn't been felt before.
All alone but still trying to keep score.
Always knowing you need more.
Partners walking right through that door.
It's my turn to fall face first.
Walking into a sign post that reads you should know in dear John kind letter.
But stay unfettered and fearless, sometimes not sure if it is love or lust.
But knowing all the same it's a must, sincerely with certain amount of trust.
