Eyes Open Wide, 'til Death Finds You...

History is not always faithful,
times and tone portray dueling chaos,
events become a scene from Golgotha,
with its teflon and steel outer shell
coyly masqed in a womb of paper-mache,
a ruse that defies common sense-

still, people propense to obsess the darkness,
and for this ther'll be great rue for time ill-spent
that for which we never shed light upon,
for existing in a Life imbued in Death.

For, never lay your quandaries blame,
on Cross wounds from self-infliction-
on any face but the one reflecting
back at you in your mirror;
for it is that image, and that alone
the whole of the onus be laid upon-

and where unplausible excuses
must remain there, where you stand-
for your observation, rumination,
and the realization that-
some crowns, adorned by diamond tips
are in fact pentagrams swathed by thorns;

so, tread then, with cotton step,
as if treading on window pane,
and let not a floor of shattered glass
find you 'fore you've seen it from afar;
keep your eyes, ears and mind genuine,
and your quandaries will find solace.

Keep your eye's open wide- and your heart open wider
'til Death finds you, as you'll have nothing to fear.

___________ E p i l o g u e ___________

Truth is all telling when Judgment be rendered
as all else shall be moot when it's time to die;
Death will always find you, freeze your mortal clock,
Leave your Soul for The Six winged Seraphims,
to complete deliverance to another Dimension,
be it better or worse than where you existed-
for too short a time....so we say,
yet how can we say what we're told we can't see...
Faith can be a challenging virtue.
