Eyes On Baby Lemur - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Eyes On Baby Lemur - Lincoln Park Zoo

A baby lemur, yes I be
Born here at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Lots of humans want to see me.
But I stick close to Mom - I do.
Maybe a girl, maybe a boy,
I've kept the humans wondering.
Watching the humans - I enjoy
These strange creatures ever snooping.
Mom says the humans are close kin,
Being primates just like we are,
But unlike us, tend to butt in,
And turn the world beyond bizarre.

Soon enough I'll explore for sure,
The world I see beyond Mom's fur.
