Eyes Of The Children Poem by Richard Dorrough

Eyes Of The Children

Through the eyes of the children,
Grows our future,
Remembers our past,
They have just begun

Protect them and help them,
Our yesterdays and Tomorrow's,
Gaze into their mirrors,
And remember yourselves,

The innocence and laughter,
Cannot be replaced,
Time is the virtue,
Allow them their own pace

Be not the abusers,
The markers of the minds,
Impress them with your kindness,
Your love

Embrace them with understanding,
But do not force your ideals,
Guide them to the path,
But let the direction be their choice

If they fall then pick them up,
If they fail help them to start again,
They shall always know,
We will always be there

Cherish their futures,
For in their memories
We shall always,
Live forever
