Eyes Poem by Babatunde Alimi

Eyes

Squaring against the black sea
Bewitched by your spell
And shrouded by the shiver of your gaze
Words seized
Breaths held
Hearts stopped
Brains rebooted
Hands fell back
Legs went limp
Imaginations blackened
As you from rose the chaos, drippng in colours of Gold and Flame
I knew I was lost in those eyes.
