Extend Poem by Alex McCullough

Extend

Extend your hand,
Extend your hand,
Extend your hand,
And....................
Grab and hold onto me tightly,
Never thinking of letting me go,
For there is an unknown comfort I find,
Resting in these arms of yours.
I've never felt this way before,
Even though I've felt all kinds of feelings before,
I really don't know how to describe it,
But maybe this is what they call love.
So extend your hand,
Please extend your hand,
Just extend your hand,
So I can feel your warm touch.
Just extend your hand,
Please extend your hand,
So will you extend your hand? ,
So I can feel it,
Even for a second,
This feeling I get,
Known as love.
How can you be this cruel? ,
Giving me all this love,
So when you leave,
My heart aches to be with you.
But I guess that's okay,
Because when I get you again,
The feelings I have for you,
Grow too big for my heart to contain.
So extend you love,
Please extend your love,
Just extend your love to me,
Then my heart might stop crying for you.
So extend your love,
Just extend your love,
Please extend your love,
So I can take it,
Though it'll never be enough,
I just want to hold you in my arms.
So extend your hand,
Please extend your hand,
Just extend your hand,
So I can stop missing you so much!
Please extend your hand,
Just extend your hand,
So extend your hand,
Then maybe my heart will stop calling out to you,
Asking for so much of your love,
When there's always tomorrow for more.
