Express Shame Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Express Shame

I have no words to express shame
That takes me meters deep with blame
It is not only curse and condemnation
That shall be felt by people of nation

As for nature is concerned
We are human animal and stand condemned
When it comes to the honor or woman
We turn wild and act as an animal

How do we bring back honor and dignity?
How can we justify our action in thee eyes of humanity?
If the act was done with little agreement
The incidence could be termed as natural movement

Let me express some reservation
We all praise liberty and freedom with nation
Women are empowered with equal freedom
But dress code certainly questions the wisdom

If any one speaks openly
Entire women activists question with hostility
Some of the girls move with bare cloths
That brings live human animal on path

Not only humanity is shamed in moment
But draws severe comments
It is for our good that we protect ourselves
From internal fear and out side wolves

Laws are not sufficient to deter violators
Majority of crime is done by minors
Even aged have now entered into fray
I can only express the dismay
