Exit Point Two Poem by Tameka Morin

Exit Point Two

why did you go and
take exit point two?
what the hell is the matter with you?
why did you have to go and quit?
you weren't supposed to give up,
why couldn't that just be enough?
there are five exit points in
someone's life
oh how i wish i could turn back time...
you weren't supposed to go...
not now not ever
but now your out of my life
forever!
you weren't supposed
to leave me in this world all alone
you had all my love
and a home
so why did you go and
take exit point two?
couldn't you see how much i loved you?

this poem is dedicated to my kukum (grandmother) who passed away 8 years ago
