Exit From Vanity Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Exit From Vanity

Rating: 4.5

To dominate the world in earnest
The hero zestfully races to Mount Everest
He takes with him all the keys straight
Of all the interlocked systems established
He keenly observes every where around
And forges power-packed new keys to penetrate
The very mystery declared impenetrable
Even after setting and resetting finds the means insufficient
He had proposed to unlock all the mysteriousness intricate
Generations surged within his being, rising and falling
And voices staggered and struggled and struck him silent
In that awesome silence, one dominant note
Made itself audible: 'your attempt is laudable'
The very attempt to unlock lifts you up to stars adazzle
It is vanity to claim you have seen everything
That there is, in fact, something further to see
Should excite you exceedingly and afford an exit from vanity.
