Existance Poem by Juan Olivarez

Existance

I feel my life shrinking, becoming nothing
everyday more and more drains away.
my essense is ebbing like the morning tide,
departing little by little every night.
so far from my home, will i ever see it again?
each morning when i wake,
another piece is missing,
leaving me while i lay in the realm of sleep.
trapped in this nether world, i cannot continue.
perhaps, my soul doesn't want me to exist anymore,
what is existance though, what part do we see?
how much exists that we do not comprehend?
there must be worlds within worlds,
universes within universes
galaxies within galaxies, and space within space.
if this be true, then somehow, somewhere,
my existance may continue.
