Excuse Me Poem by anna preston

Excuse Me

Excuse me if I don't call you again
If I don't say hello anymore
Coz I'm just trying to be a lady
Giving you what you wanted

Excuse me if I don't acknowledge you
If I don't miss you anymore
Coz I'm just trying to do the best I can
To keep my head held up high

Excuse me if I don't love you like before
If I don't enjoy you company anymore
Coz I'm just trying to let you go
So that we can both move on

You said you needed space and time
So I'm giving you just that
The best way I can
Hopefully it's good enough

Excuse me if I forgot your name
If I don't recall you at all
Coz I'm just doing you a favour
And making your life easier
