Exciting Day Poem by Lee Fones

there were argumentative words
outside our shop in town
there weren't any birds
until the language died down

the extremities were so bad
someone called the cops
it really is so very sad
caused grasshoppers to hop

then i heard a mighty slap
one bloke fell to ground
then i saw a falling sap
and in the rain it drowned

police did arrest one bloke
the innocent one walked away
in then walked a frog, croak
then he said good day
