Evil Poem by Ragy Sandid

Evil

Evil is a baby hurt and hunted
Chased by everyone, discarded
Destined to roam alone, unwanted
Un-listened to and unrewarded

Like all babies craving attention
Yet not getting it, Evil hides
Waiting forever in suspension
Till the day the world divides

That’s when Evil shows a face
Innocence in the guise of a smile
A common enough time and place
And no sense of time lost all the while

Then it chases everyone around
The only claim is that its there to have fun
Whoever sticks it out is bound
To meet something smelly when all is done

Evil, like babies, knows no limits or end
It only knows that it is hurt
Forever searching for a surrogate friend
To choke once it proves its worth.
