Everything Without Meaning Poem by Kelly Zion

Everything Without Meaning

So dim it seems to see through these eyes
So dark the river is, nothing is alive
So distant like the birds I can never hold
So lost like the faces of the ones turned to skulls
So hopeless a feeling you don't want to sleep
But there's nothing to wake up for
And you can't dream either way
So pale a heart, so faded a painting
I feel like a feeling of giving up on everything
My favorite song a rerun that barely makes me cry
My days without feeling no reason to lie
Sleep little princess, why are you smiling?
We know you are twisted
But we're just not buying it
Happiness is so nothing so don't even try it
You know it won't last and you'll just end up crying

Feel nothing like everyone else
Be nothing the same
Don't agree on anything you'll want to disagree
Don't dream of anything you don't want to be in
Be careful little girl of what you are dreaming
But listen to the pain of the ones that somehow made it
They're dead aren't they and you're dead the same and
Don't you want to love and don't you want to hate them?
You'll never get over what was your lullaby
You'll never stop feeling what still makes you cry
What is giving up? Not loving or not living?
What is going on when it goes on unforgiving?
What is anything when everything's without meaning?
