Every Effort Poem by Cee Bea

Every Effort

by occasional occurrence
I knew she was the best
and the worst.

a place where smiles and laughter
are easy as tears and anger.
Its all compromise,
give, take and durability

that does not make it cold
but tested one
might suppose

fierce you are like a knife
taught, with tenure
still un compromised in promises
kept.

every glance noted, every smile
adored, every effort endearing.
