Evermore Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Evermore

When time no longer brings me spring
When tendrils of sorrow begin to cling
I will walk on the corridor of tomorrow
Knowing that your love is still there

We have felt the mighty sun
Tender as a gentle father
Moonlight of lovers
We have heard the tides in wonder

Enjoy the hours together like flowers
Your warmth has showered me
Let the river take me home
When the stars call me to my home

Tears are the rain of the nighttime
Elegies with roses and their glory
I have felt the joy in the wind
I have seen the hand of love

Can you feel shadows of pine trees?
See the butterflies in the fields
I have walked amidst beauty
So shall I walk evermore
