Evergreen Poem by Frank DeFulgentis

Evergreen

like other untamed souls
i once sought the mountains
the wandering calm
swirls the thin air
where i am told
there is metaphor
that unfolds
too vast to embrace
embedded in the
landscape

here is the freedom
that remains for me
still frozen in time
like january
actions i take
that i try to transcend
seem to come back again
and again
evergreen awaits
