Evening Star Poem by john tiong chunghoo

Evening Star

Rating: 5.0

the sky is a darker shade of blue
a spellbinding mood setting tone
that would inspire an artiste to his brush
to romance with a spanish evening

the moon displays her queenly presence
with a clear and eloquent beam
as if it has just climbed out of a bath
cleansed of all smudge

a solid crown of confidence
that imbibes into stage artistes
that self assurance is the sky of their career
how it could win heavenly admirers

and the evening stars, they twirl
like ballet dancers in their closets
devising the best means to get their
facets to sparkle like a hard to get gemstone
