Evening's Approach Poem by Heather Z. Hanna

Evening's Approach

Soft cricket song rises
and falls.
First here, then here,
Then there.
A gathering of moths and mosquitos.
A late quick buzz of a bee racing home.
Hummingbird chatter settling down.
As more cricket sounds
Arise in steady cadence
Of evening's blanket drawing up.
