Evening Of The Flood Poem by Tom Squires

Evening Of The Flood

Rating: 5.0

Tonight it rains on roofs of tin
A song of sleep whispering the news
Of our spoken name from uncounted drops
Born in silence of some crippled lake
That lay listening and felt upon it's boundaries
The soft mercies and scent of a distant ocean
