Evening Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Evening

Rating: 3.0

It’s cool and calmly evening
The hideous dark is invading
Bewitching song of birds ceases
As darkness terrorizes the earth
Disturbing owl cries rises
The tyranny of darkness dictates
Frail and faint flashes of fireflies
Wanders aimlessly in the dark
Suddenly far on the horizon
The light shines drawing the mark
And the king of night rises soon
Sheltering the with light
And wearily wind whizzes
As the moon dominate the night
And the melodious voices seizes
Children set out to play
As the moon illuminate their faces
A new lively mood lay
And the darkness is no more
The moon sparks a new hope
And the fear is no more
Stars join adding more hope
