Even The Promise Of Death Poem by Shalom Freedman

Even The Promise Of Death

Even the promise of Death
Of no decision and responsibility forever
Does not free me of the anxiety and worry
Over life's problems now

Knowing all will end in Nothingness
Should ideally bring Calm

But instead each small question
Overwhelms me
And panicky inside
I wonder how I will possibly go on
Without falling apart
And failing everyone I love.
