Eurovision Is Coming Poem by Sebastian Seal

Eurovision Is Coming

I'm not good at writing lyrics,
My imagination is quite limited.
So hey ho and Lobley Hill,
The juniper bush is spigotted.

You don't need to be a Shakespeare,
To write a song for Eurovision,
Nor have a Mozart or Haydn brain,
Nor own a music pavillion.

Maybe I can write for Eurovision,
I think I can do the rhyme,
My womble has been vapourised,
And my rhythm is in time.

La la la la la,
Shooby dooby doo,
Je ne sais quoi,
That's the best that I can do.

But I like a good ditty,
And I know one when I hear it.
My flippers start tapping wildly,
And I wobble about a bit.

Seals aren't built for dancing,
You need to not have cares,
When you look like a bag of jelly,
Bouncing down the stairs.

Pick up your phone and vote for Russia,
Or maybe even the U.K.
And remember that both tra-la-la
And sha-la-la are supposed to be okay.
