Eulogies To The Departed Souls Poem by Venkateswaran Krishnan Sreenivasan

Eulogies To The Departed Souls

I will sing eulogies for the departed souls
Of our beloved classmates; virtual pearls
Of wisdom, kindness and compassion
Devoted in whole to their holy healing mission

At college, they were blooming with vigor and cheer
Adorned by a smiling face, an asset to their career
Their angelic touch hastened the cure
Of their ailing patients always for sure

Nobility trickles in selfless profound devotion
That often takes its heavy toll on health
Sickness steals the years of life by stealth
With no recompense for our veneration

May thy memories linger in our minds for ever
And thy memoirs rain a blissful healthy shower!
