Eternal Tamakoshi Poem by Dhal Bahadur Jirel

Eternal Tamakoshi

Sprung from the heart of the Himalaya
Heading to Ganges and looking at Gaya
Carrying timeless blue aqua gloriously smiling
In the sweet murmur voice sweetly singing
Giving universal message of true love and peace
There flows grandeur Tamakoshi down the hills
The cranes flying in the haven above her
Spread their white wings flapping in the shower
Each day miles and mile to the south they explore
Looking for the golden and silver sandy shore
Telling me the tale of true and timeless freedom
And the unfathomable glory of Gurkha kingdom.
The breeze that bore by her every dusk and dawn
Be tumbles the petals of the flowers in the lawn
And the sun traveling on its way in the far west
Makes every bubble shine blaze in its best
Thus, the breeze gives lesson of life eternal
The shining bubbles tell that body ours is mortal
And the sun insists me to be clear in every deed
To serve others in truth to sacrifice and bleed.
The triumphant Tamakoshi glides down the hill,
With glossy windings and fill of great zeal
Sometimes coiling herself as a hard steel ring
Sometimes being cataract aloud hissing
Sometimes flowing smoothly calm and sound
Sometimes stranding on her way fast and bound
Upon the silver and golden shining rocks and sand,
Sometimes enriching with its vapor the nearby land
Teaches the noble mind to carry out his duty well
Encourages every soul to keep peace and to tell
Tamakoshi, the witness of human civilization
The treasure of wisdom of every generation
The day she turns into red river of blood and tear
Will be the end of the world and the fear
But she will remain eternal as she was before
And there will be a new life to praise and to adore.
