Eternal Sleep Poem by Ocean Myranda

Eternal Sleep

Time for bed,
You can't wait to sleep.

You're thinking about your day,
Knowing you've got tomorrow, you're okay.

Wondering about regrets,
You have a few,
Hanging out with the one you like,
Tomorrow, you'll work up the courage to kiss them.

Turning off the light,
Snuggling in your bed so tight.

You turn on your radio,
Listening to your thoughts.

Thinking about them,
Knowing you'll have tomorrow,
You'll be fine,
Planning out the next day.

Drifting slowly into sleep,
Your thoughts not making sense.

Losing yourself to your dream,
Suddenly, nothing is what it may seem.

You look at yourself,
You have a feeling this is real,
You know it's too late,
Walking over to yourself.

Feeling your skin, so cold,
Knowing your soul was sold.

Trying to take out the knife,
Looking for the murderer.

You see them, the one you love,
They broke in,
They stabbed your heart,
Now you sleep.

Crying, you float away,
There is not another day.

Rest in Peace,
In your eternal sleep.

(Don't waste your days wishing you had the guts to do something, you never know when your last day will be here. Live life to the fullest and do things you never thought or imagined you could do. -Ocean Myranda)
