Eternal Grief Poem by Adeline Foster

Eternal Grief

Eternal Grief

If grief should be complete
For one you once held dear,
Who turned a back and did you harm
And caused a numbing tear;
No more repent that grief today
Or shed that rock of fear
Than shake a spirit by the hand
Or welcome ghosts appear.

Adeline, a very powerful poem. I love the lines: 'If there be no God, Then justice in the heart of man Would be a fake..' If there be no God, there would be no inner law to define any behaviour, no difference between the good and the bad in human mind and heart. This idea also reminds me of some works by C.S.Lewis I have read recently. Thanks for sharing, I agree with readers on an importance of a message it carries within... Best wishes and thanks for appreciation of 'Caesarea' :) Yelena M.
