Esther Or Easter? Poem by gershon hepner

Esther Or Easter?

Rating: 0.5

While gentiles all go on their Easter parade
the Jews choose to read from the book that’s called Esther
how a Jewish and Persian young princess Jewish got laid
by a king who was multiple lady-molester.
The gentiles once blamed the Jews on Good Friday
for events before Easter, while Jews accuse Haman
on Purim for conduct performed mala fide
that threatened the nation, both rabbis and laymen,
and might have brought death to all Jews had not Esther
been crowned as a beauty queen by Ahasuerus.
I hope you don’t think I am being a jester
when I say that her victory was like that of Pyrrhus,
for after the joy came the raising of taxes,
like the raising from death that gentiles have claimed
is the reason for Easter, and he who relaxes
when reading of Esther on Easter gets blamed.
