Equine Mistress Poem by Rick Elpers

Equine Mistress

She talks of horses
Knowledgeable and confident
Teaches me everything
I should know
Smiles indicate friendship from
Within, allowing life to enter
Mingle and develop
I see her response to offers given
Returned with gleaming eyes slight
Tilt of her head appreciating
Yet holding reserved to accept
My approach of giving however
I may be supportive, and taking
From our evolvement a hopeful
Time on earth in the company
Of each other, wherever
It takes us
