Equality Poem by Sherry Painter

Equality,
Is it so hard to ask for?
What makes it so hard to be equal to one another?
Is it the facts that were different?
One's a man,
One's a woman?
What the hell?

If it's only because we are
A man,
A woman,
If that's the case we can't do certain things,
Well that's just absurd!

Absurd,
Stupid,
Ridiculous,
Just because I am a women,
Just because I am a man,
Just because whatever the case maybe,
It's just as absurd!

Is it wrong for a man to be stay-at-home parent?
Is it wrong for a woman to become the President of the United States?
I don't think so,
It is perfectly okay.
