Equality Poem by Leaking Pen

Equality

One lonely cherry tomato
In shades of lemon yellow and olive green
Blossoms in beauty red
An oregano mint necklace
Adorns proudly her neck
Wondering:
Why I left her alone on my plate?

Is she not luscious? Ripe with taste!
Listen to the hurrah from my porcelain plate?
And why is she left there alone?
Separated from her lovers the green cucumbers
Who left beforehand...
Finding new romance from fork to mouth?

Does she not deserve Equality?
In the eyes of culinary?
She's plum, Sweet 100, a gardener's delight!
With a Mona Lisa smile in full sight
And Venus de Milo sensuous curves
God's tears turned to pearls
Her heirloom heritage second to none!
How blind can I be?
To nature's hand painted lady!
