Enibi - Poem by Matthias Pantaleon

Play Poem Video

I seek you Enibi
You dances naked in the forest of Odum
And Tango in the temple of Buddha
Your fame shames our father
Your shackle and rumbles are unearthed
Return at once to mother Ife
you graceless child
Its forbidden for a child to dance too much
On her father's burial
Least she steps on his grave
And spit on his soul
Ife awaits your return
Return child!
least sango bid you farewell
