Endless Pain. Poem by Alexis Weiermann

Endless Pain.

As I call out for help,
You don't understand.

I don't say 'help! ',
I simply say it differently.

You've never been able to understand,
You think it's all an act.

An act to get attention,
Attention that I don't need.

I have attention,
Plenty of it.

I'm simply injured,
Not physically just emotionally.

When you see my tears,
I'm asking for help.

When you see the cuts,
I'm begging for help.

When you see me smile,
I'm telling myself I'm getting better.

But I'm not,
I go home and it starts all over.

It's a never ending circle,
Of endless pain.
