Ending Other's Lives Poem by Lyn Paul

Ending Other's Lives

Rating: 5.0

We love a newborn baby
Like it has been a part of us forever
Love is precious
To watch a loved one die, is unbearable
To see anyone die is tragic
Tragic, pain, grief, horrific
All simply unbearable

Religion is there for you
Is there for us all
If we believe
Even not knowing
Not believing

Religion can be a release
Just knowing someone is there
That someone
Can simply support you
Just with words

Words that heal the unbearable
Yet you can think
That death means nothing
To some
Some who see religion
In a different light
Only see dollars
Shining bright
Who only see
Hallucinations, no resuscitating

Unbearable
Who are these people
Unbearable
They do not care
care for each other
The living

In this century
Let us not fight for freedom
Let us all live

Life is not a Countdown to death
Life is precious
For us all
No matter who we are

Who are these people
Ending life

Why?

Such a powerful message to put an end to all evil that takes our lives, our children and our families that takes our hope for a better future. If we stand together and help and care for each other allow our true goodness to flourish and to silence evil people forever! A thought provoking and beautiful write Lyn!

'Life is not a countdown to death'. That is how I see it, although it can seem like a countdown in unhappy times. I shudder at the thought of killing in wars, and, even more, capital punishment.

Brave utterances set aside for honest reflection. Confronting piece of poetry depicting savagery written with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing.

I guess we have to experience some darkness to relish the light. The world is and can be a very dark place, but there are still a lot if shining rays of light and hope just like you. Shine on.

many people welcome death as a release and have become cold inside to the feelings of losing a loved one, and some rejoice because you are going to a better place.
