End Of The Road Poem by Patrick Hubbard

End Of The Road

The End of the Road sounds like it's impossible
You won't even try, and shower it away like it's washable
Everyone is getting you down because of your belief
Do what you want, later you will be relieved

The End of the Road is all but showers of tears
Falling everyday, falling over the years
You feel like it won't dry up anymore
The sun wakes giving you a warm closeup

The End of the Road requires nothing but sweat
Working 'till you choke, killing you as a threat
You have so many ways to go further in life
Saying 'No' will only stab you with a knife

The End of the Road wants you to follow all of your dreams
Open up all of the wounds, and cover up all the seams
It's not right, you don't understand the power
of living a mortal life is as short as an hour

You don't even know, there's only one way to go
Run until you stop, watching the beautiful show
Lesson learned, but you'd rather go away and explode
And never achieve to see the End of the Road
