End Of An Era

How to make you believe
As to how I'm feeling now?
How do we survive -
Can anybody show a path? ? ?
Stage 1.
Crocodiles are in water
And tigers being upon land,
Desperately, we are swimming
In ocean with a huge oil spill! !
Stage 2.
With quakes, forest fires -
Tornadoes and storms,
Devastated flood and drought
Are occurring all over the globe! !
Stage 3,
Yellow drops are pouring down,
With venomous acid rains,
El - Nino and Green house factors
Causing global warming! !
All living beings are being charred
In high altitudes.
And many of the plain lands
Are drowned and washed out! ! !
Stage 4.
Through pollution and warming
No one survives,
Nature had shown at last
The height of it's devastation! !

In centuries past we extracted this earth
Through merciless mining,
So carelessly we polluted it
With cruel deforestation! !
We ruined the habitats
Of animals and birds,
We polluted the water also
Where no water creature can survive! !
Because of our sheer mindlessness
This green Earth is ruined.
The darling planet in the Universe, now
Is in oblivion and extinct! !

An excellent message within this poem, Amitava. We have polluted, mined, cut down forests, just ruined our own environment, mostly in part by politicians and lobbyists selfishness and greed. We all need to start questioning our politicians and government and the reasons they hide behind their backs for what they're doing, destroying our precious earth. Again, you are at the forefront of a major issue across the globe, you indeed are getting the message to everyone! Great work, Amitava, you are a born leader and your poetry bears out this truth! Because of our sheer mindlessness This green Earth is ruined. So many unprecedented occurrences take place in greater frequency and regularity with exactly the scenes you have described above! We have to fear if we are heading into an apocalypse! All these because of our indiscriminate assault on Nature and our sheer mindlessness!
