Empty Desk, Empty Chair Part Ii Poem by Ray Hansell

Empty Desk, Empty Chair Part Ii

I see your desk
I see your chair
It's not the same
Without you there

I recall the smile
You use to wear
But that smile
Is no longer there

I remember the woman
Who's voice rang true
That lovely voice
Belonged to you

I remember how
Each day was new
The joy I felt
Was because of you

My heart feels empty
Just like that chair
I truly miss the days
When you would sit there

But my heart knows
You're no longer here
All that remains
Is an empty desk and chair
