Empty Arms Poem by Mervyn Graham

Empty Arms

I need love all around me
I feel it deep down in my soul
I want it to surround me
Before I get too old

I sometimes feel so lonely
Isolated, on my own
I crave company
Someone to be with, someone to hold

You know, Just watching a movie
Sitting by the fire so warm
Just hugging so comfy
Like a favorite sweater, keeping out the cold

Instead, these arms, so empty
but it's not to late I'm sure
Someone out there waiting
Looking for their love to be told

So if your out there, waiting
Similar arms empty, indeed
Need a man to fill them
To hold you, love you, please be bold

Open your arms, inviting
Your love is out there, I'm sure
A match is waiting
Your heart, my heart, twofold
