Empty Poem by Kofi Perkinsmeadows

Empty

Rating: 4.5

I heard you say I was heartless,
That's not true,
I do love you.

I heard you say I had no soul,
That's a lie,
I almost cried.

I heard you say I was empty,
I have a heart,
A soul,
And I do care,
These won't rhyme but,
I'll be there.

I believe our hearts should be seen in our deeds. It's very important. Just that there are those who wouldn't see anything you do.

Lovely piece of poetry, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and penned from the heart with conviction. A good poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
