Empty Poem by C J Browning

Empty

Rating: 5.0

So deep within this heart I see

A hole where my heart used to be

A space..now just a cavity

No more is it a part of me.

Where once a beating heart did dwell

Each beat clear sounding as a bell

That space is like an empty shell

With nothing left for me to tell.

This emptiness is quite complete

No heart....no more will ever beat

Within a heart that once was sweet

Departed now... total defeat.

What more is there for me to say?

But just to go upon my way?

There is just night...there's no more day!

I have no reason now to stay.

Wow! An excellent write. I bleed with you... yet your heart is still there. I feel it every day.
