Emeraude's Ghost Poem by G J Salgado

Emeraude's Ghost

Rating: 5.0

I cannot even began to count the days,
Of all the days spent in our careless ways.

You were everything to me that consisted of light,
The moon belonged within your soul upon the night.

We spoke of things that we wouldn't regret,
And shared our deepest, darkest, loneliest secrets.

I never once had clue or thoughts that we would part,
It all came so sudden that you were never truly my entire heart.

Who knows how long the clock of time will keep us separated,
I have felt your presence until the moments when they were faded.

I can feel your world slipping further away the more I try to stay,
For it is my new birth that's calling me as time travels beyond us and away.

I wished that you could touch, see or even hear me from the gateways of heaven from above,
If I could only be the wings of an angel, I would wrap my wings around you and never let you go so that I know you will always be safe and loved!
